All of these fatty acid metabolites possess anti-inflammatory acitivity in the body, Black currant seed oil enhance immune function by reducing the production of the inflammatory prostaglandin E2 linked to age-related decline of the immune system. borage oil Borage oil is derived from the seeds of the borage (Borago officinalis) plant.Borage oil has the highest content of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) of any plant source. GLA is an Essential Fatty Acid necessary for metabolic pathways involving hormone balance brain functions, blood pressure, inflammations and healthy skin. Borage oil typically contains 20% GLA, approximately twice the level of Evening Primrose Oil. pomegranate seed oil The oil extracted from the pomegranate seed oil is composed primarily of five fatty acids, palmitic, stearic, oleic, linoleic and punicic. The main constituent is punicic acid, which can be as high as 80% of the total fatty acids. evening primrose oil Evening primrose oil is extracted from the seeds of the evening primrose plant (Oenothera spp. ) and it is unique in that it provides an extremely high level (70% or more) of the precursor LA and it contains 9-11% of GLA.
