We are irrigation & Water Technologies Pty Ltd based in Rouse Hill , Australia. We are member of Tradekey.com since February, 2006. Our business is related to Textile & Leather Products industry and we specifically deal in . Please find our product details below: Sub surface Irrigation please see website for more information. Safety Flow is a system for disposing of effluent from Aerated Waste Treatment Systems (AWTS) below the ground. Safety Flow is a spin off from the Australian Capillary Root Zone Irrigation (CRZI) technology used in agriculture-Below Flow. That system has recently emerged from a 3 year period of intensive research and development involving irrigation and soil science specialists from CSIRO, Charles Sturt University and the University of Queensland. Safety Flow was developed as a safer and more flexible alternative to the sprinkler irrigation widely used with AWTS. The system overcomes the deficiencies of traditional drip tube. Specifically, transforming the drip line from a point to a continuous source, reducing deep drainage and preventing emitter blockages and tunnelling. Safety Flow is a composite material with four components: 1. An impermeable polyethylene base membrane that restricts drainage and encourages longitudinal spread of the effluent. 2. Two drip tapes. One for effluent delivery and one as a spare. 3. A geotextile layer over the tape to assist lateral and longitudinal spread of the effluent. 4. An impermeable polyethylene membrane overlaying the geotextile and the drip tapes to prevent tunnelling. Major Advantages: 1. Reduced health risk - effluent is discharged below ground and must pass through at least 100 mm of soil to reach the surface. Evidence is available that pathogen and parasite levels in the effluent decline in the soil presumably as a result of filtering and biological suppression. The health risk due to inhalation of spray droplets, ingestion of soil especially by children and contamination of vegetation is either eliminated entirely or significantly reduced. Sub-surface disposal of effluent also means less odour production. 2. Effluent can be discharged even when the disposal area is occupied without risk to the public. 3. The distribution of effluent over a disposal area is not influenced by wind and surface runoff. 4. Effluent is distributed more uniformly over the disposal area than can be achieved with surface sprinklers. With sprinklers, there will be deep drainage losses where application volumes are highest. In these areas, the soils capacity to retain nitrogen and phosphorus will also be stretched. Where sprinklers are permanently located, early saturation of nutrient binding sites in soil hot spots could reduce the service life of a field by more than 50%. 5. Safety Flow can be used to irrigate garden beds and lawns around a house without compromising health. 6. Safety Flow has a geotextile layer that rapidly spreads the effluent over the full length of the irrigation line ensuring even distribution within the root zone. This is in contrast with standard drip or perforated pipe systems which give point source emissions. With these systems, the rate of emission from the pipe must be less than the capacity of the soil near the emitter to absorb water or else there will be heavy drainage losses or tunnelling. Tunnelling is a process where contaminated water appears at the surface soon after the irrigation has commenced. Installation: Safety Flow is installed 200 – 300 mm beneath the soil surface with the optimum depth determined by soil conditions, particularly capillary lift. Gypsum is normally applied to the soil when the trench is backfilled to improve wetting and capillarity. Safety Flow is laid across sloping ground to improve effluent distribution uniformity. Individual lines are spaced at 1.5 – 2 m intervals depending on soil properties. The spacing is closer in sandy soils than in clays. The disposal area is divided into up to 6 zones and these are irrigated sequentially to ensure that the effluent is distributed uniformly even on sloping sites. The drip lines are operated at a pressure of 10-13 psi and are available with emission rates from 2-8 L/m/hr. The choice of tape will depend on the application but for most sites an 8 L/m/hr tape will be suitable. The main components of the Safety Flow disposal system are: 1. Safety Flow drip line - 200 m 2. Pressure reducer - 12 psi. 3. Inline filter – 120 mesh. 4. Irrigation pipe and fittings for mains and sub-mains. Thank you for taking the time to go through our business profile.
